Daufuskie Island Real Estate Blog

Daufuskie is having a busy summer, with the front nine of the Haig Point Golf course now grassed and the back nine not far behind, we are all hoping for a November opening, which should be spectacular.  Rees is doing a great job on the renovation!

We are also getting ready for the release of the new lots in Beachfield, right next to the Ocean in Oakridge.  The community offers a relaxing beach cottage atmosphere and beachfront pool pavilion for families to enjoy.  The master plan reflects a mix of nature, water, and ocean view lots, which they are currently accepting reservations for and should be closing on in early fall.

While we were visiting, we attended the local church service two Sundays, at the First Union Baptist Church and really enjoyed the service.  If you are on the Island, it is worth going…great service and the fellowship and friendly welcome is wonderful.

 We also visited Chase at the Iron works art studio, and bought some of his work.  He is awesome and it’s definitely worth the trip to see his designs.
