Renovations talk for Rees Jones Golf Course at Haig Point

Discussions are underway to renovate the renowned Haig Point Club golf course. The Rees Jones-designed track opened in 1986 and has since experienced some wear and tear to the green elevations. In particular, the No. 17 green, with spectacular views of Calibogue Sound, has been reduced by 37%. The greens did undergo a refurbishment about three years ago, but these were not to Jones’s original design specifications. The Haig Point Club is a member owned private course and is managed 
by Troon Golf. The members took over ownership of the course in 2001. There are currently 637 members. I’ll keep you up-to-date on this project as it progresses.
